The UK Dharma Celebration (UKDC) is a special course on Buddhism and meditation that explains how to apply Buddha’s teachings (Dharma) to modern living. The UKDC is a precious opportunity to study and practise the special presentation of modern Buddhism taught by Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso, the Founder of the New Kadampa Tradition – International Kadampa Buddhist Union.

Taught by the National Spiritual Director of the UK Kadam Bridget Heyes, the Celebration is a holiday with a difference – giving you a chance to break free from the hectic routines of daily life and focus on the things that really matter. The UKDC will leave you relaxed, inspired and spiritually re-energised.

Buddha Manjushri

Practising Wisdom in Daily Life

At 2016’s UKDC over the Easter Bank Holiday weekend (25–28th March), Kadam Bridget will give a traditional blessing, an empowerment of the Wisdom Buddha Manjushri, as well as a series of practical teachings explaining how to apply the wisdom of ultimate truth, emptiness, in our busy lives to solve our daily problems and find lasting inner peace and joy.

Everybody is welcome, and no previous experience is necessary.

The UKDC is held at Tara Kadampa Meditation Centre in Derbyshire – a beautiful and peaceful venue which is particularly stunning in the spring-time as the 36 acres of parkland come to life. Close to the M6 and M1 as well as to East Midlands Airport, Tara KMC is easily accessible from throughout the UK and internationally.
